The project is proudly supported through the generous gifts of the Science Student Experience Fund. Each year, the proceeds from the Science As Art Calendar directly support the growth of this project. To date, we have installed several benches and picnic tables within existing nature spaces on campus. In 2021,  new educational signage, a talking circle, mineral specimens and a plant collection will be installed.

The newly designed Ecolab will feature two maps that facilitate an understanding and appreciation of the land. The first is the map of Mi’kma’ki, the unceded country of the Mi’kmaq people, which covers the majority of Atlantic Canada. The second is a geological map, displaying the language used to describe knowledge and observation of the land we live on.
