On January 25th, undergraduate Aquaculture students from the Agricultural Campus participated in a symposium called “Our global challenge: Feeding a growing world while protecting out oceans” at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium featuring guest speakers Fabien Cousteau (grandson of ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau) and Dr. Rohana Subasinghe (UN Food and Agriculture Organization).
The symposium was hosted to address the global challenge of feeding a growing world through aquaculture while protecting our oceans. NSAC alumna Peter Corey also spoke to students about his initiative “Fish for Hope” which assists in feeding a global world through aquaculture. Thanks to the AANS for organizing the event and for ensuring that our students were able to participate.
