Birth control methods are commonly separated by Short Acting Reversible Contraception (SARC) methods and Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) methods which differ based on the length of their protection. Individuals may select their birth control method based off how important it is for them to get pregnant for less than a year or more than a year.Ìý
